Toronto, Ontario –The Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) named Dr. Marco De Ciantis as the recipient of the Patient Care award for providing exceptional patient experiences. Dr. De Ciantis was honoured at the OCA Gala ceremony held December 8, 2018.
Dr. De Ciantis was selected by the committee for his focus on a collaborative care environment that provides patient-centred care, both within his multidisciplinary practice and with his patient’s external health care team.
He cultivated this environment by leading clinical case meetings in which practitioners worked as a team to understand cases more fully. He also spearheaded a project to connect chiropractors with physicians to open the lines of communication to keep patient progress on track.
“It is an honour to receive this award from the OCA,” said Dr. De Ciantis. “It is especially gratifying to receive the Patient Care award as I have been dedicated to delivering exceptional care for all of my patients. I hope to continue helping all of my patients navigate the complex matrix of how the body works and the health care system!”
