Taiju was born in Japan and came to Canada in 1993. He graduated from the faculty of Law at Soka University of Japan.
He completed formal training in acupuncture at the Japan College of Physical Medicine and the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He obtained a license in Acupuncture recognized by the Ministry of Health and Labour in Japan. He is also a registered acupuncturist of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
His hobbies and interests include camping, traveling, riding motorcycles, and reading about peace, culture, and education.
He also loves karaoke and has sung over 8000 J-pop songs in his Karaoke app so far.
