Marco De Ciantis Pan Am Games

Sneak Peek from the 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games

We’re almost at the halfway point of the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto and counting down to the beginning of the Parapan Am Games!

I’ve been spending the last few weeks volunteering on the medical team for the event and have had the opportunity to work with a number of international athletes and of course, get an awesome view of the games in action! Most recently, I’ve been working with the floor and artistic gymnastics teams at the Ricoh Colliseum both through their training and during competition and one of yesterday’s highlights was definitely seeing Canadian gymnast Ellie Black claim gold in women’s beam, floor, take home the gold, her fifth medal at the Games – impressive!

Not only have I had the opportunity to work with the Canadian teams but also international athletes coming from the USA, Cuba, Argentina, Columbia and more!

Over at the clinic, our team is currently treating and rehabilitating a number of the athletes from Team Canada so we’re in full Pan Am mode! Stay tuned for next week for updates from rhythmic gymnastics and cycling at Ontario Place!
